While reading through some forums I found a post for a free banner maker call on a site called Banner Fans. I have been using is a bit and must say it is a nice, free tool.

I have used other free banner makers in the past and they have always had some sort of catch, so far I am not seeing one with this.

With the banner maker you can choose your font, color, border, and get the code or download the banner. I have used it for one of my sites and so far  I am quite pleased with Banner Fans.
